Application Q&A

1. Do I need to pay for children under three years old?

Official application and payment are required for children below three years old as they need to pay for tax and port charges.

2. What is the charge for one adult plus one child?

The basic unit charge per room is for 2 adults, applicable to two adults, one adult and one child or even one person occupying the room. The payment also depends on the type of room.

3. After submitting the application, can I still add more people to my room?

You can add more people but not to cancel the booking. It also depends on the availability of the room you have booked, you may need to change to another type of room. You may need to pay more after the change or receive refund which will be arranged on some other day.

4. Why there is a price difference between the standard market rates and our charges?

The standard market rates only include the room charge, food, and entertainments. For Cruise Carnival ‘18, our charge includes all the above-mentioned, and also tips and port fee.

5. What does our charge include?

Our charge includes the application fee, amazing activities, accommodations, three meals a day, afternoon tea, late-night supper, tips, tax and port fee.

6. How to fill in the form with 5 or more family members?

• One application form is required for every room and please fill in according to the arrangement for participants.

• A 5-members family needs two rooms (double room or triple room); due to the life-saving facilities, two rooms are still required even with a child under 3 years old.

7. I have signed up with my relatives separately, but is it possible to stay next to each other?

We will do our best to arrange for you due to the number of people and different types of rooms required. Please try to submit the application form with your friends and relatives at the same time, which makes room allocation easier. The later you submit your application form, the chance of obtaining neighborhood rooms will be smaller.

8. Can a couple with one child aged 0-3 choose a double room?

Due to the requirement of the life-saving facility, child of all age is counted as one person regardless of him taking up a bed or not, you still need to choose triple room and settle the payment for your 3rd participating member (because the fee mainly involves tax and port fee).

9. There is a type of room called “view blocked”, what does it mean?

It means 50%-70% of the view is blocked by the life-saving boats outside.

10. If the expiry date of my passport is before January 28, 2019 (with effective date less than half a year), can I still apply?

Yes you can, but please apply for a new passport as soon as possible and provide us with your new passport information as soon as you have it. Please mark your receipt number on your passport copy, hand it to our reception or email to 2018ifrc@church611.org.
