1. How is the Pastoral Ministry Diploma in the Institute different from Pastoral Diplomas offered in other seminaries?

- The Institute emphasizes a balanced spiritual development through the Four Series: Sanctification, Scripture, Spirit, and Service, and we value spiritual exercise on receiving the vision, passing on the anointing, and actual practice in ministries, which is different from academic diplomas offered by conventional seminaries elsewhere, thus, we offer a Pastoral Ministry Diploma.

2. Is there any minimum requirement for previous education?

- Since there is no minimum educational requirement for following Jesus, we, therefore, also have no minimum requirement for education. (Acts 4:13) “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” (NIV) The traditional academic school philosophy is "strict admission, lenient graduation;” but for our Institute which is renewed by the Holy Spirit, our school’s philosophy is "lenient admission, strict graduation," because many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).

3. Does the 611 Leadership Institute provide any scholarships or financial aid to students in need?

- The fees required for the Institute should be provided by the Lord through faith, so we encourage students to use their free-time in the afternoon to work at a part-time job which should train up their faith to rely on God’s provision. If there are issues of debt, we do not encourage students to enroll, because when they pastor a church in the future, it would not be a good testimony. The 611 Leadership Institute does provide scholarships for students with excellent learning performance, and students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. If there is a need for financial aid, a written application should be submitted to the Institute from the pastor of their home church.

4. I have clearly received the Calling for Full-time ministry, but my spouse does not agree with me enrolling Full-time in the Institute, should I still apply by faith?

- Unity between the husband and wife is what the Lord sees of great importance. Pray and wait until your spouse agrees, and then enroll.

5. My church uses the 5x5 Cell Group structure. Do I have to use the MG12 Cell Group structure for my church internship?

- The concept and practice of the MG12 Cell Group is an important feature of the 611 Leadership Institute. In principle, we recommend students to observe and learn about the features of MG12 within the two-year program as much as possible. However, we still respect the final decision of the Senior Pastor of the student’s home-church if the student is under financial subsidy of their home-church. If the student’s home-church does not have a Cell Group structure, it is recommended that the student should take internship in a MG12 Cell Group church.

6. I already raised up two Cell Group Leaders and have more than 20 people within my MG12 Cell Group. Do I need to have two additional Cell Leaders within my Cell Group during my 2 year program in the 611 Leadership Institute?

- No, that is not necessary. The MG12 internship requirement is to ensure students can truly understand the concept and the practice of the MG12 Cell Group, it does not require an additional fulfillment on raising more Cell Leaders up. However, it is still necessary to have two Cell Group Leaders and, at least, 20 people in your Tribe at the time of graduation. The Institute encourages students to continue pastoring a MG12 Cell Group and become a help to more people. The quality and quantity of the MG12 Cell Group also affects your learning reports.

7. Can overseas students enroll in the Institute? How do I resolve issues relating to accommodation and visa?

- Overseas people are welcome to come for short or long term study. For short term students, it costs HK$120 per lesson, which makes up to HK$1920 for 16 lessons over 4 weeks. Catering costs around HK$120 every day. We welcome overseas students to enroll. Even though accommodation is very difficult to find in Hong Kong, the Institute is trying its best to provide dormitories for the students at a fee of $2,500 HKD per person. Please apply two (2) months in advance to give us time for making such arrangments. If overseas students enroll in the Institute, we will assist in the application for a training visa. If your stay in Hong Kong exceeds the duration of one visa (Taiwan about 1-month; 3-months for Malaysia), you must have a Training Visa in order to study, so please apply two months in advance.

8. If I simultaneously apply for both Day-time and Night-time programs in the Institute, can I submit the same Scripture memorization and Bible Reading Record to fulfill the requirements of both courses?

- The purpose of setting the Scripture memorization and reading requirements is so that the students can be filled with the Word of God. Therefore, the same Scripture memorization and reading homework cannot be submitted to fulfill the record of both courses. If you have enrolled simultaneously in both Day-time and Night-time courses in the Institute, you are required to read the Bible six times, and the number of verses for Scripture memorization should be 300 verses, including other requirements as assigned for courses of the Night-time Institute.

9. Do I need to finish all the courses in a full-time capacity?

- Some courses can be completed part-time. However, the Leadership in Ministry Diploma should be completed in 2 years, and the Practical Pastoral Diploma should be completed within four years. If there are special circumstances which require an extension, please send in the application for approval.

10. If apply for the Pastoral Ministry Diploma (Major in – Children’s Ministry), which is a combined Wednesday evening class with the Children’s Instructor Ministry Diploma (Night-time program), can I be awarded with both the Practical Pastoral Diploma (major in Children’s Ministry) and the Children’s Ministry Program Instructor Diploma (from the Night-time program) when I graduate?

- No, because the Pastoral Ministry Diploma (majoring in Children’s Ministry) has a combined class with the Children’s Ministry Program Instructor Diploma (Night-time program), therefore, the Wednesday evening class credits fulfill only the credits for Pastoral Ministry Diploma (major in Children’s Ministry). If you use the credits to graduate from the Children’s Ministry Program Instructor Diploma (Night-time program), that means you have no credits for the Service Series module, therefore, you would need to study for two additional years in the module in order to have enough credits to graduate.
